BMW 116d By Hartge


In Germany, the most affordable diesel BMW versions are available for only 24 thousand euro. Give that amount to the dealers and you’ll get a 3-door hatchback with a 2-liter engine with a 116 hp capacity and 260 N • m torque. However, the only indicator that is truly impressive is the fuel consumption: 4,4 l per 100 km in mixed cycle. Speed, dynamics and so on… well, it is better not to talk about them, just not to become too upset. But the tuners from Hartge Bureau has a special opinion on the budget hatchback.

Give them BMW 116d for a few days, and your turbodiesel 4-cylinder 2.0 will receive a new management and a sports air filter. These simple additions enough to lift the engine to 143 horsepower and 315 newton-meters. And moreover, this latest result could be achieved at 2000 rpm. Similar figures has the factory version of BMW 118d - 143 hp and 300 N • m.

But do not get involved in the constant comparison with a standard BMW 118d. Indeed, it has no sports suspension with shortened springs, which reduce the ground clearance by 25 mm or Hartge exhaust system with two caps and configured «voice». However, tuners have not announced a price yet, and we doubt that the package of improvements will be less than 2000 Euro. This is the difference between the prices on the BMW 116d and BMW 118d. So, the potential buyers will still have something to think about.

Golf 1.4 TSI by Sportec


The New Golf GTI with 2.0L engine is good for everything except one thing - the price. But the German concern have special midget engines, which are capable of being a good and rather cheap foundation for more accessible «charged» Golf versions. Swiss atelier Sportec went exactly by that way, producing a relatively more affordable than GTI Golf 1.4 TSI.
 
The heart of the project is the finalizing of a 160hp-strong 1.4 TSI engine with 240 N • m torque. Swiss added the fresh software to the engine and replaced the basic factory version of an air filter with a sports one. Now indiscreet «turbofour» gives the whole 200 hp and 300 N • m, and the Golf GTI  gives  210 horsepower and 280 newton-meters. Sportec SC 200 hatchback with mechanic gearbox accelerates to one hundred kilometers per hour in incredible 6,8 seconds - on one-tenth faster than the Golf GTI.
 
3-door Sportec SC 200 accelerates to 180 km / h from the place in 3.2 seconds faster in comparison with 160 hp - strong Volkswagen Golf 1.4 TSI.

Engine modification program is suitable for versions with six-gear mechanical gearbox, as well as for modifications with the DSG automatic transmission.

And to let your «almost GTI» to be good in other disciplines, tuners advise to put sports springs that reduce the clearance by 25 mm and a mechanical differential lock. But the most important is the price! In Germany, Volkswagen Golf 1.4 TSI Highline cost 23 700 euro. For 640 euro tuners will finalize the engine, and just for about one and a half thousand euros they will put differential lock and new springs. It is much cheaper than to pay 26 650 euro per ordinary Golf GTI.

At last tuners decided not to follow the traditional ways of expensive tuning and to make really affordable and decent tuning to let you save your money.

Dodge Challenger Tuned By Mr. Norms Garage


What does this number mean - 426? This is the mark of the Chrysler’s Hemi version flagship engine with 426 cubic cm capacity, or seven liters. Such engine threateningly roared in the body of the legendary muscle-car Plymouth Barracuda.

Time did not spare the Plymouth brand, and serial Chrysler cars do not have a Hemi engine of such capacity. But there are no desperate situations, right? There is no less muscular coupe Dodge Challenger, which, incidentally, can be turned into Cudu. And clever engineers from the Mr. Norm’s Garage atelier did that. In the end, they work with Chrysler group vehicles since the mid of the last century.

Tuners took as a basis SRT8 modification with a 425-strong engine Hemi 6.1, which increased the working capacity up to seven liters, changed management program and, more importantly, set the drive supercharger Kenne Bell. Thanks to the latter addition to the characteristics of the improved engine, yet another trio of cheerful numbers was added - 750 horsepower.

For $ 4000 Mr. Norm’s car tuning atelier engineers will install for you a front sport suspension of their own design and also will improve the cardan shaft and equip rear axle with a lock.

Finalizing of the exterior was not easier. There are no convertible versions of Challenger, so the masters from Mr. Norm’s Garage Bureau have cut the roof by themselves, bringing along the front and back exterior of the car according to Hemi Cuda convertible image of the third generation.

It turned out quite gorgeous, but unfortunately, quite expensive as well. For example, installation of the Hemi engine will cost for a potential driver at least $ 7000, for regulating the sport suspension $ 2800 is requested, and and rear panel a la Hemi Cuda will cost $ 1500. So, even taking into consideration the awesome tuning of the car, it is unclear, if it will be requested by a decent amount of people.

Audi S4 Tuned by MTM


Apparently, companies, who specialize in the tuning of Audi cars, are a plenty. Otherwise how to explain that a family of «charged» universals and sedans Audi S4 of the new generation debuted back in September so far has no one who has dared to improve them? But not until now: a few days ago this model came to the hands of MTM atelier.

Specialists of the studio rushed forward in the fine-tuning of this cars immediately. An initial package of improvements even now raises the power of a compressor 3.0 TFSI V6 engine with 333 horsepower and 440 N • m to 430hp and 515 newton-meters. Achieving such an impressive result did not require bone-braking work - the tuners only installed new M-Cantronic engine management system and new exhaust system. Dynamic characteristics, of course, have changed greatly. For example, the acceleration to one hundred felt down by a four-tenths seconds (4,7 s).

Luxurious 19-inch wheels Bimoto (4035 Euro) conceal powerful braking mechanisms (4182 Euro) with eight-piston supports and 380-mm discs at the front axle.

New suspension (700 euro) is adjusted in the range of 10-40 mm in front and 15-45 mm in the rear. But for a more sophisticated exhaust system the price is several times more - 2645 Euro.

But engineers from Vetshtetten do not calm down. To smooth the effects of speed intoxication a modified braking system with eight-piston supports was designed. The kit also includes adjustable suspension of their own design. Of course, the efforts of MTM studio are not free. For all the job done the price is almost 15 thousand euros, of which 3075 Euro is for the «pumping» of the engine.

The Americans Have Improved BMW M3 By The Reduced Program


Further development of a powerful car has one undeniable advantage. You can significantly simplify the task, just forgot about the engine and focused all attention on the chassis or on the exterior. American firm IND went just by this way, prepared a magnificent project for the BMW M3 coupe with a variety of components from third-party companies.

Tuners quite reasonably thought that the 420-strong V8 4.0 engine was doing just well with its responsibilities of teleportation of the car from one place to another. Therefore, IND engineers only slightly improved the engine of this BMW just by installing Eisenmann exhaust system. Factory suspension and brakes were replaced by the Americans too: with a set of KW Clubsport and Brembo mechanisms accordingly.

The Second Generation Of BMW Z4 Roadster Has Received An Increase In Power


Tuners have not yet tested well the new generation of a BMW Z4 roadster, the car just came in the dealer showrooms. But some people are already willing to offer their versions of revisions. The first to come are specialists from studio G-Power, well known for their love for the Bavarian cars.

At first, they offer a package of improvements for version sDrive35i with three-liter biturboengine. Novitec Studio Added Heat To The Smallest Alfa


While Alfa Romeo waits to release new series of «hot» modifications of Alfa Romeo MiTo, tuners are trying to earn on it. Not so long ago we saw the work of the Italian studio Marangoni, and these days their vision of «hot» hatchback showed some of the major experts on Alpha in the world: the guys from the German studio Novitec.

They did not come cheap and presented the package of improvements at once for all the three versions of hatchback. The main component - the growth of power through re-programming the «brains». Thus, the power of gasoline turbo engine 1.4 increased by 31 hp - Up to 186, while torque has increased to 30 N • m - up to 260. JTD modification diesel engines with 1,3 and 1,6 l volume received an increase of power by 20 and 24 hp accordingly, and right now they have 110 and 144hp. Torque in both cases increased by 50 Nm.

The Germans are ready to install new MiTo silencer for exhaust system: with one, two or four tubes.

Also, for a fee the studio is ready to do some improvements to suspension. One option - to replace the springs and lower the car by 40 mm, the second - to make a suspension customizable, allowing you to adjust ground clearance by 35-65 mm. In addition, the Germans are ready to offer our customers a new aerodynamic «suit». Prices for all these promises will be announced later.

Alfa Romeo Mito - the smallest car in the model variety of Alfa Romeo, which will be released on the Italian market in July. A little later it will appear in the United States, and in the fall, according to the news will get to the rest of the world.

German tuning company Novitec that turns 20 this year is famous for its exclusive Italian autos tuning.

4.7 lilter V8 engine power increased from 165 h.p. to 600 h.p. The German company has also replaced the coupe suspension – for one jointly developed with KW company - and installed NM3 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels.
