While Alfa Romeo waits to release new series of «hot» modifications of Alfa Romeo MiTo, tuners are trying to earn on it. Not so long ago we saw the work of the Italian studio Marangoni, and these days their vision of «hot» hatchback showed some of the major experts on Alpha in the world: the guys from the German studio Novitec.

They did not come cheap and presented the package of improvements at once for all the three versions of hatchback. The main component - the growth of power through re-programming the «brains». Thus, the power of gasoline turbo engine 1.4 increased by 31 hp - Up to 186, while torque has increased to 30 N • m - up to 260. JTD modification diesel engines with 1,3 and 1,6 l volume received an increase of power by 20 and 24 hp accordingly, and right now they have 110 and 144hp. Torque in both cases increased by 50 Nm.

The Germans are ready to install new MiTo silencer for exhaust system: with one, two or four tubes.

Also, for a fee the studio is ready to do some improvements to suspension. One option - to replace the springs and lower the car by 40 mm, the second - to make a suspension customizable, allowing you to adjust ground clearance by 35-65 mm. In addition, the Germans are ready to offer our customers a new aerodynamic «suit». Prices for all these promises will be announced later.

Alfa Romeo Mito - the smallest car in the model variety of Alfa Romeo, which will be released on the Italian market in July. A little later it will appear in the United States, and in the fall, according to the news will get to the rest of the world.

The name Alfa Romeo MiTo has received from the city where it was designed (Milan), and where will be manufactured (Turin), and “mito” translates from Italian as “a myth, a legend”.

Novitec GmbH company has divided the scope of its activities into three branches: Novitec responsible for tuning Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Lancia models, Ferrari is being finalized by Novitec Rosso office, and the department responsible for Maserati is Novitec Tridente. And German engineers worked seriously with the 440-strong motor V8 4.7: set up the drive supercharger, re-installed software and improved exhaust system. As a result, the rear axle compartment now accounts for more than 600 hp! And right now the car accelerates to 60mph for a little less than 4 seconds instead of the basic 4.9.

In addition, the car will get another suspension components KW and Novitec, original brake system and wheels, which actually are not quite suitable to the Italian coupe with a trident. And whether the price is suitable, we will learn later.

Lingenfelter Performance Engineering is such kind of custom center, which stands among such monsters as the Saleen and Hennessey. For about 30 years the company tunes only American cars. And this time their eyes were turned to the original «Yankee» - Chevrolet Camaro SS.

Lingenfelter specialists were not going to come cheap ant put all the cards on the table immediately - five tuning complects for V8 6.2 L99 and V8 6.2 LS3 motors with capacity from 550 to 800 power. The first three kits (550, 570 and 650 «horses») involve driving pr TVS2300, new software and optimized systems, cooling and injection, as well as the air filter.

The last two packages (750 and 800 forces) are different from the rest in the scope of work. Under the hood 7L V8 engine is installed with finalized cylinders, forged pistons and titanium connecting-rod. However, less powerful version outputs its 750 horses and 928 N • m torque through pr, and top-version with the 800 hp and 1085 newton-meters - by two turbochargers.

Packages improvements will be made available to the car with mechanic gearbox as well as the automatic. A monster with 550 hp tuners will do for two weeks from your Camaro, but the construction of 800-strong demon takes eight to ten weeks. It is a pity that the tuners do not yet disclose the price of their «growth pills».

Not so long ago in one of the races of BTCC racing championship Lancer Evolution X debuted, which was built by engineers from Mitsubishi Motors UK office with the support of ADR Motorsport. Some time afterwards, the first news appeared, that Mitsubishi will produce serial 400-strong version of a sports car, which will be a special FQ-400 modification of Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X model on the market of England. So far, the most powerful «FQ» in the line is FQ-360, which as the name suggests, develops 360 hp.

2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine will be forced, its managing unit will receive the new settings, the standard exhaust system will be replaced by more effective. Total power of LanEvo X FQ-400 will be increased to 405 hp, although that number is not yet final. The torque will be 542 Nm. Motor will be offered with 5-speed gearbox only, because it is not known exactly how SST transmission will cope with the with double clutch high performance unit.

Expected that the acceleration to 100 km / h will be possible for 3.5 s (for comparison, FQ-360 is gaining speed 100 km / h in 4,1 s). The car will receive a new body kit with additional ventilation holes, including a large air intake on the bonnet and the slots for cooling the rear brakes. By the way, the braking system will also receive improvements: front, for example, 6-piston supports. Well, and the car will receive new rims – 18 inch size.

 According to forecasts, this model will be released in limited series of 100 copies and will become the most expensive modification of Lancer Evolution X - starting price will be about 45 000 pounds ($ 66 865), it means, 14 500 pounds higher than the predecessor.

Hennessey atelier specialists are true patriots. They are dealing mainly with domestic vehicles. But there are cases when Americans grab the stars from European or Japanese sky. At this time, they decided to tune Nissan GT-R coupe, and to create something unimaginable.

Aerodynamic false weight, antiwing, skinned and chamois leather interior – is too easy for engineers from Hennessey. All the attention to the technology. A powerful baby even before tuning with 3.8l engine (485 forces, 588 N • m) experienced a serious refinement: it has now new «snails» with increased boost pressure and the engine, upgraded injection system, intake, output and cooling.

If the factory suspension do not satisfy a client, as an option tuners offered another one, produced by KW, with three levels of adjustment.

As a result, the unit turned out to have 813 hp and 955 N • m. And in order not to tear the vehicle into pieces, engineers have increased and improved the design of the cooling box. Also to admit, Hennessey GTR800 accelerates to 100 km/h in incredible 2.8 secs? Basic GT-R Coupe yields him eight tenths of a second. 

Atelier of Texas has not yet announced the price for a package of improvements GTR800 for Nissan GT-R, but in favor of buying their tuning kit stands a fact that such roistering Nissan coupes has only ridden out of the gate of Hennessey Bureau.

Kristian Mayer, 40 years old, races for his pleasure and for his money in the German series of Formula Ford. This is his favorite sport: Herr Mayer devotes all his spare time to racing and is very upset when the judge gives a swing with a checkered flag. After all, he has to get home in a regular car.

Mayer did not want to part with the bolide so much that he has decided to rebuild the formula vehicle into a car for public roads. The main problem was to get the approval from the German technical supervisory authority TUV, because without their expert opinions no vehicle can come on the road.

And because the original are only chassis from Reynard 91F spatial frame, plastic fenders and lighting equipment where hoisted on top of them. The front spoiler and rear wing are strengthened to play a bumper role. In addition, horn and hand brake were built in to the car.

As a result of adaptation formula vehicle’s mass has grown by 105 kg - up to 525. It has not affected the dynamics. After all, the engine is from another car. Combat vehicles are equipped with 140hp-strong Ford Duratec 1.6 engines. But for a civic version Meyer borrowed a little bit more powerful engine - 204-strong turbomotor from the Opel Calibra coupe. The exact dynamics are unknown, but, according to Mayer’s words, it can speed up to 250 km / h. Note that original bolide’s ceiling is 230 km / h and it speeds up to the 100km/h in less than five seconds.

The whole process of construction took four years. But the adaptation work to the machine is not finished. Herr Mayer said he had his hands itching to do with the formula something else. For example, to solve the problem of all-weather driving. We are waiting for a removable roof!

Unusual body is made of fiberglass, and Air Ride suspension improves the handling characteristics. Actually it turned out a car with a very unusual design, but full of exclusive options and many romantics could easily fall in love with this baby. Another unusual moment, the steering wheel easy to move right or left, apparently with the expectation that the owner of this beauty would travel around the world.

An interesting car, it seems nothing original has been done, but it turned out just a candy. Although, mentioning that everything brilliant is simple, there is nothing to surprise.
