Dodge Challenger Tuned By Mr. Norms Garage


What does this number mean - 426? This is the mark of the Chrysler’s Hemi version flagship engine with 426 cubic cm capacity, or seven liters. Such engine threateningly roared in the body of the legendary muscle-car Plymouth Barracuda.

Time did not spare the Plymouth brand, and serial Chrysler cars do not have a Hemi engine of such capacity. But there are no desperate situations, right? There is no less muscular coupe Dodge Challenger, which, incidentally, can be turned into Cudu. And clever engineers from the Mr. Norm’s Garage atelier did that. In the end, they work with Chrysler group vehicles since the mid of the last century.

Tuners took as a basis SRT8 modification with a 425-strong engine Hemi 6.1, which increased the working capacity up to seven liters, changed management program and, more importantly, set the drive supercharger Kenne Bell. Thanks to the latter addition to the characteristics of the improved engine, yet another trio of cheerful numbers was added - 750 horsepower.

For $ 4000 Mr. Norm’s car tuning atelier engineers will install for you a front sport suspension of their own design and also will improve the cardan shaft and equip rear axle with a lock.

Finalizing of the exterior was not easier. There are no convertible versions of Challenger, so the masters from Mr. Norm’s Garage Bureau have cut the roof by themselves, bringing along the front and back exterior of the car according to Hemi Cuda convertible image of the third generation.

It turned out quite gorgeous, but unfortunately, quite expensive as well. For example, installation of the Hemi engine will cost for a potential driver at least $ 7000, for regulating the sport suspension $ 2800 is requested, and and rear panel a la Hemi Cuda will cost $ 1500. So, even taking into consideration the awesome tuning of the car, it is unclear, if it will be requested by a decent amount of people.

Audi S4 Tuned by MTM


Apparently, companies, who specialize in the tuning of Audi cars, are a plenty. Otherwise how to explain that a family of «charged» universals and sedans Audi S4 of the new generation debuted back in September so far has no one who has dared to improve them? But not until now: a few days ago this model came to the hands of MTM atelier.

Specialists of the studio rushed forward in the fine-tuning of this cars immediately. An initial package of improvements even now raises the power of a compressor 3.0 TFSI V6 engine with 333 horsepower and 440 N • m to 430hp and 515 newton-meters. Achieving such an impressive result did not require bone-braking work - the tuners only installed new M-Cantronic engine management system and new exhaust system. Dynamic characteristics, of course, have changed greatly. For example, the acceleration to one hundred felt down by a four-tenths seconds (4,7 s).

Luxurious 19-inch wheels Bimoto (4035 Euro) conceal powerful braking mechanisms (4182 Euro) with eight-piston supports and 380-mm discs at the front axle.

New suspension (700 euro) is adjusted in the range of 10-40 mm in front and 15-45 mm in the rear. But for a more sophisticated exhaust system the price is several times more - 2645 Euro.

But engineers from Vetshtetten do not calm down. To smooth the effects of speed intoxication a modified braking system with eight-piston supports was designed. The kit also includes adjustable suspension of their own design. Of course, the efforts of MTM studio are not free. For all the job done the price is almost 15 thousand euros, of which 3075 Euro is for the «pumping» of the engine.

Specialists From The Techart Atelier Have Tuned Diesel Cayenne


The first diesel vehicle in the history of Porsche - SUV Cayenne - has not yet been awarded with the full attention of the tuning-offices. Yes, there was a slight false weight and new program management of V6 3.0 TDI engine (240 hp, 550 N • m), but only now finalization on all the fronts have merged together. Tuners quite reasonably thought that the 420-strong V8 4.0 engine was doing just well with its responsibilities of teleportation of the car from one place to another. Therefore, IND engineers only slightly improved the engine of this BMW just by installing Eisenmann exhaust system. Factory suspension and brakes were replaced by the Americans too: with a set of KW Clubsport and Brembo mechanisms accordingly.

A specialist from a Japanese studio ASI has shown the desire to improve this beauty, going to the rest.

Japanese tuners decided not to engage into costly and complicated tuning. To get started, they’ve installed new bumpers and sills, with a lower weight at 27 kg against the standard. Suspension has also been changed and it was assembled from the Sachs components. Finally tuners slightly reprogrammed the «brain» of a V8 4.3L engine (490 horsepower, 465 N • m), improving its traction at medium speed.

You can not order a full body kit, but only its individual elements. For example, for front and rear bumpers, as well as for the sills you will have to pay five, six and four thousand dollars accordingly.

The tuners fantasy transformed Mazda MX-5 almost to everything which could only be imagined - to Ford Mustang, to Aston Martin etc... Not because of the bad design of the machine - on the contrary it is nice and gorgeous. But it seems the fate of it is always to be masked. Here are the Japanese’s turn.

be crazy not only about drawing big-eyed students in their cartoons, but on the automotive classics too, and yes, lots of chrome on them. Based on these considerations, the tuning-studio MonoCraft brought to the domestic market retro false weight for the MX-5, also known as the Mazda Roadster. Now the car is called MH1.

 

The biggest change experienced the front of the roadster: MX-5 looks at the world with big, round and surprised eyes in a chrome rim. Rear lights are almost completely closed with caps, leaving outside only round turning signals: you have the spirit of retro now. And chrome parts for sure. Atelier Novitec drew attention to the Maserati Coupe


Novitec GmbH company has divided the scope of its activities into three branches: Novitec responsible for tuning Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Lancia models, Ferrari is being finalized by Novitec Rosso office, and the department responsible for Maserati is Novitec Tridente. In addition, the car will get another suspension components KW and Novitec, original brake system and wheels, which actually are not quite suitable to the Italian coupe with a trident. And whether the price is suitable, we will learn later.

Chevrolet Camaro with the Lingenfelter prefix will sound ominously


A situation when well-known American firms, engaged in tuning in Europe have little weight is usual. Lingenfelter Performance Engineering is such kind of custom center, which stands among such monsters as the Saleen and Hennessey. For about 30 years the company tunes only American cars. And this time their eyes were turned to the original «Yankee» - Chevrolet Camaro SS.

specialists were not going to come cheap ant put all the cards on the table immediately - five tuning complects for V8 6.2 L99 and V8 6.2 LS3 motors with capacity from 550 to 800 power. The first three kits (550, 570 and 650 «horses») involve driving pr TVS2300, new software and optimized systems, cooling and injection, as well as the air filter.


The last two packages (750 and 800 forces) are different from the rest
in the scope of work. Under the hood 7L V8 engine is installed with finalized cylinders, forged pistons and titanium connecting-rod. However, less powerful version outputs its 750 horses and 928 N • m torque through pr, and top-version with the 800 hp and 1085 newton-meters - by two turbochargers.


Packages improvements will be made available
to the car with mechanic gearbox as well as the automatic. A monster with 550 hp tuners will do for two weeks from your Camaro, but the construction of 800-strong demon takes eight to ten weeks. It is a pity that the tuners do not yet disclose the price of their «growth pills».
