Apparently, companies, who specialize in the tuning of Audi cars, are a plenty. Otherwise how to explain that a family of «charged» universals and sedans Audi S4 of the new generation debuted back in September so far has no one who has dared to improve them? But not until now: a few days ago this model came to the hands of MTM atelier.

Specialists of the studio rushed forward in the fine-tuning of this cars immediately. An initial package of improvements even now raises the power of a compressor 3.0 TFSI V6 engine with 333 horsepower and 440 N • m to 430hp and 515 newton-meters. Achieving such an impressive result did not require bone-braking work - the tuners only installed new M-Cantronic engine management system and new exhaust system. Dynamic characteristics, of course, have changed greatly. For example, the acceleration to one hundred felt down by a four-tenths seconds (4,7 s).

Luxurious 19-inch wheels Bimoto (4035 Euro) conceal powerful braking mechanisms (4182 Euro) with eight-piston supports and 380-mm discs at the front axle.

New suspension (700 euro) is adjusted in the range of 10-40 mm in front and 15-45 mm in the rear. But for a more sophisticated exhaust system the price is several times more - 2645 Euro.

But engineers from Vetshtetten do not calm down. To smooth the effects of speed intoxication a modified braking system with eight-piston supports was designed. The kit also includes adjustable suspension of their own design. Of course, the efforts of MTM studio are not free. For all the job done the price is almost 15 thousand euros, of which 3075 Euro is for the «pumping» of the engine.

Large weight, massive wheelbase, 4-wheel-drive without reducing transmission and blocks … -  Audi Q7 model never claim to be the SUV. Instead, air suspension, which increased ground clearance increases from 180 to 240 mm, was a tool for a slight off-road. But in the Avus office they have decided that this is not useful for this car.

 Pay attention to how serious Q7 is after  the admission to the German automobile beauty salon. No false weights, no spoilers: the effect is due to arches dilators, huge discs and reduced by as much as nine inches ground clearance. Yes, even at bad asphalt now you have to be careful.

Also because diesel engines V8 4.2 TDI were enhanced by tuners too: instead of 326 and 760 newton-meters it gives 365 «horse», and 880 N • m. It is enough for the crossover with mass exceeding 2.5 tonnes accelerated up to hundreds for six seconds, and gained a maximum of 245 km / h. In the original model - 6,4 s and 233 km / h, accordingly.

Should you take this fancy crossover, is up to you to decide, but the price of refining is acceptable. For example,  23-inch disks will cost 5290$, the new «brains» of an electronic air suspension module – 1499$, while improving the diesel engine will cost 1400$.

We got used to the fact that the fine-tuning of German cars is mostly performed by the natives of Germany. Much rarer is the case when tuners from other European countries are trying to improve Prussian cars, but when a studio from another continent does something for a «Deutsch» is as rare as the sun eclipse. Still, sometimes overseas tuners find some inspiration. At this time – quite modest American Bureau Stasis: it has “warmed up” Audi A4 sedan.

It was done with the tested methods: they gave a new air filter to 2.0 TFSI (211 hp, 350 N • m) turbomotor, and finally put him the right “brains”. Valuable present in combination with NLP made its service: touched “German” generously increased its power to 255 hp and 400 newton-meters, and it is 5.3 sec to one hundred kilometers and 250 km / h maximum speed. The second indicator of the “donor” is the same, with the acceleration to 100 km / h – a bit worse (6,9 sec).

And it would be easier for the A4 to turn the vehicle: in bureau Stasis they’ve put on it short and more rigid Ohlins springs, powerful Alcon braking system. Luxurious 20-inch discs do fetch the picture.

By the way, Americans have shown a sense of proportion, not only when the were making a car, but also in the price list. For their works, they charge a modest fee - $ 5999. In general - buy AudiA4 2.0 TFSI for $ 40 thousand and run to the studio. But you can wait. Most likely, tuners will soon introduce a sales turbokit for the A4. Installed on the car of the previous generation, this set shook out of the 200 hp-strong engine additional 120 hp.
