The Germans Are Finishing Bentley Continental Again


Specialists from MTM studio are perfectly familiar with Bentley cars: they have rich programs of improvements for the GT Coupe, Flying Spur sedan and GTC convertible. It is time to renew some optimization packages for the above-mentioned British models.

The program was named Birkin Edition. However, after renaming the program the main indices stay unchanged. For example, the W12 6.0 engine with 560 hp and 650 N • m got new management program and two turbocompressors with increased boost pressure, resulting in an outstanding output - 650 horsepower and 795 newton-meters.

But the most strange is that cars with a package Birkin Edition became a little slower: the maximum speed of Coupe GT dropped from 337 km / h to 331. But speeding up to the 0-100km is the same – 4,4sec. For comparison: basic stats of Coupe GT are 318 km / h and 4.8 C accordingly.

There are small differences in the tuning of suspension. For example, due to the management module MTM F-Cantronic ground clearance on the front axle is reduced by 25 mm, and on the rear – by 35 mm. Previous kit has reduced clearance by 25 mm in total.

In standard version, Bentley GT Coupe is a luxurious full coupe, which has four seats, rather than 2+2, which is usual for cars of this class. In addition, the car has great luggage compartment volume of 355 liters, which may be extended due to reclining of the rear seat back. Under the hood of Bentley GT Coupe is a 500-strong motor W12 Volkswagen Concern, which allows the car to accelerate from zero to one hundred kilometers per hour in less than five seconds.

And imagine: the Germans have decided not to increase the price. For those updates plus branded discs atelier requested 20 thousand euros - three thousand fewer than required previously. And why do MTM can do so, but not the others?

Handsome Ferrari F355 Sports Has Become An Ugly Duckling


The sense of beautiful in people can not be described as a fundamental sense, but for someones it is very strong. Sometimes, the owner of a simple Ford or Mazda lets the tuners to make from it something like Porsche, Maserati or Ferrari supercar. But sometimes there is a particularly severe cases, just like this one.


For example, the case of specialists
of Italian rally team Nimik Rally Team. Its engineers have cut Ferrari F355 coupe with a 380hp engine into pieces, after a series of soul freezing experiments combined again - and created a car with a face of the legendary Citroen 2CV. It was really a transformation from the graceful swan to ugly duckling.

this “piece of art” will have no brothers or sisters. Engineers of this rally team have made 380-strong “freak” exclusively for their needs and in a single copy. But those individuals who liked it, have no reason to despair. The task is quite easy, but the difficult thing - to raise his hand against the Italian gorgeous masterpiece.


Model Ferrari F355 was produced from 1994 to 1999 with two versions of the body (coupe and Spider), and single-engine V8 3.5 (380 hp, 363 N • m), which allows the car weighing 1440 kg accelerat
e up to one hundred at 4.7 s at a maximum speed of 295 km / h. It was produced in a total of 11 273 vehicles.

Fine tuning is mostly done by fine tuning bureaus. But sometimes car enthusiasts, as a Mexican Jorge Rios, make them by their own. His masterpiece is thoroughly upgraded roadster Lotus Exige S.

The body draws much attention. It was seriously rebuilt: on the front bumper and thresholds - plastic lining, and back -  with inflated arches, giant antiwings and a new bumper. And a solid tail is perfectly combined with the fact that made the Mexican in the part of technology. Unless suspension is not changed, but compressor motor 1.8 received a package of improvements Komo-Tec. It includes a new intercooler, water radiator, fuel injection system and control program. As a result, instead of 220hp of the rear axle there are all 300hp.

 

This Exige S is capable of reaching 100 km / h in 3.5 seconds after start, instead of the standard four, and accelerate to 250 km / h instead of 240. Unfortunately, Jorge Rios does not report how much money was spent to finish the British rocket. We found only that the same kit, Komo-Tec S300, in Europe costs about 6500 euro.

The Japanese Studio MonoCraft Made A Mazda MX-5 Retrorodster


The tuners fantasy transformed Mazda MX-5 almost to everything which could only be imagined - to Ford Mustang, to Aston Martin etc... Not because of the bad design of the machine - on the contrary it is nice and gorgeous. But it seems the fate of it is always to be masked. Here are the Japanese’s turn.

And they are known to
be crazy not only about drawing big-eyed students in their cartoons, but on the automotive classics too, and yes, lots of chrome on them. Based on these considerations, the tuning-studio MonoCraft brought to the domestic market retro false weight for the MX-5, also known as the Mazda Roadster. Now the car is called MH1.

 

The biggest change experienced the front of the roadster: MX-5 looks at the world with big, round and surprised eyes in a chrome rim. Rear lights are almost completely closed with caps, leaving outside only round turning signals: you have the spirit of retro now. And chrome parts for sure. Now Roadster form a collective image of the middle of the last century.

Avus Bureau Closed The Off-Road For The Audi Q7


Large weight, massive wheelbase, 4-wheel-drive without reducing transmission and blocks … -  Audi Q7 model never claim to be the SUV. Also because diesel engines V8 4.2 TDI were enhanced by tuners too: instead of 326 and 760 newton-meters it gives 365 «horse», and 880 N • m. It is enough for the crossover with mass exceeding 2.5 tonnes accelerated up to hundreds for six seconds, and gained a maximum of 245 km / h. In the original model - 6,4 s and 233 km / h, accordingly.

Should you take this fancy crossover, is up to you to decide, but the price of refining is acceptable. For example,  23-inch disks will cost 5290$, the new «brains» of an electronic air suspension module1499$, while improving the diesel engine will cost 1400$.

They called for help a company with the speaking name Turbochargers.com. With the joint efforts they’ve put under the hood of Camaro two «snails» Turbonetics GTK 350 and INTERCOOLER. And after reconfiguring «brains» V8 6.2 engine capacity increased from 426 to 600 power.


And for the fast flying and fast braking the Americans put on a furious coupe Artisan SA-600 a powerful braking system with the SSBC 14-inch discs. Add here light false weight, forged discs iForged, and the car is ready. Since June 2009 the Americans will offer a coupe for $ 69 thousand. This amount already includes $ 31 thousand, which is requested for the base version of Camaro SS.

Atelier Novitec drew attention to the Maserati Coupe


Novitec GmbH company has divided the scope of its activities into three branches: Novitec responsible for tuning Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Lancia models, Ferrari is being finalized by Novitec Rosso office, and the department responsible for Maserati is Novitec Tridente. And historically turned out so, that the specialists of the last branch always care less. Therefore, a work on the Coupe Maserati GranTurismo Sis an extraordinary event!

Chevrolet Camaro with the Lingenfelter prefix will sound ominously


A situation when well-known American firms, engaged in tuning in Europe have little weight is usual. Lingenfelter Performance Engineering is such kind of custom center, which stands among such monsters as the Saleen and Hennessey. For about 30 years the company tunes only American cars. And this time their eyes were turned to the original «Yankee» - Chevrolet Camaro SS.

specialists were not going to come cheap ant put all the cards on the table immediately - five tuning complects for V8 6.2 L99 and V8 6.2 LS3 motors with capacity from 550 to 800 power. The first three kits (550, 570 and 650 «horses») involve driving pr TVS2300, new software and optimized systems, cooling and injection, as well as the air filter.


The last two packages (750 and 800 forces) are different from the rest
in the scope of work. Under the hood 7L V8 engine is installed with finalized cylinders, forged pistons and titanium connecting-rod. However, less powerful version outputs its 750 horses and 928 N • m torque through pr, and top-version with the 800 hp and 1085 newton-meters - by two turbochargers.


Packages improvements will be made available
to the car with mechanic gearbox as well as the automatic. A monster with 550 hp tuners will do for two weeks from your Camaro, but the construction of 800-strong demon takes eight to ten weeks. It is a pity that the tuners do not yet disclose the price of their «growth pills».

Novitec Tridente has recently introduced its vision of Maserati GranTurismo S Italian supercar.

German tuning company Novitec that turns 20 this year is famous for its exclusive Italian autos tuning.

4.7 lilter V8 engine power increased from 165 h.p. to 600 h.p. The German company has also replaced the coupe suspension – for one jointly developed with KW company - and installed NM3 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels.

Exterior tuning – new bumpers, side rails and trunk spoiler that comes in two colors.
